In order to avoid the problem of protruding column corners of square-section columns and improve the utilization rate of the building space, a new type of component form of multi-cavity steel tube recycled concrete composite short columns suitable for special-shaped columns is proposed, and ABAQUS is used to analyze the recycled concrete of composite short columns. The effects of parameters such as substitution rate, recycled concrete strength, and steel tube wall thickness on its mechanical properties such as load-displacement curve, ductility and stiffness degradation. The results show that the bearing capacity of the composite short column increases greatly with the increase of the strength of recycled concrete and the wall thickness of the steel pipe, but it shows a downward trend with the increase of the replacement rate. The ductility and stiffness of the composite short column increase with the increase of the steel pipe wall thickness, but decrease with the increase of the replacement rate and the strength of recycled concrete.
