Abstract:Geothermal resources are clean, renewable and abundant in reserves, which play a crucial part in accomplishing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Tangshan has rich geothermal resources, which mainly covers the Neogene Guantao formation sandstone geothermal reservoir in the southern plain area and bedrock geothermal reservoir in the north. Currently the former is mainly developed and utilized, while the latter is rarely developed. Based on the analysis of regional geological characteristics, geothermal and geological conditions in northern Tangshan, a comprehensive evaluation of geothermal resources is carried out in this paper. The evaluation results show that the dolomite geothermal reservoir of Wumishan formation of Jixian system developed in the north of Tangshan has various characteristics of deep burial, high effluent temperature and large water yield. And it is turned out to have the greatest development value in this region.
