Tianzhen County, Datong City, is an area with a high distribution of military-type defensive settlements, and its traditional settlement form has gradually developed a series of climate-adapted creation strategies on the basis of ensuring defensive functions. In this research, the defensive settlement in the north of Jin, the village of Anjiasapon was selected, and its information was conducted . In the order of "large" and "small" scales, the whole settlement was analyzed, the courtyard form, and the dwelling units. From the perspective of climate adaptation, such as temperature and precipitation, wind environment, and thermal environment, the construction techniques were studied and analyzed, and the strategies of village construction techniques were summarized and applied to the protection and renewal of traditional fortified settlements. The study of the climatic adaptation strategy of the construction technology of the defensive settlement in northern Jinbei and the guidance of the future development of the settlement based on it provide a certain theoretical basis and reference value for the study of other defensive settlements in China, and are of great significance for the study of the renewal development of contemporary rural architecture.
