ES can quickly find the better global solution and Gray-code-based GA is of more powerful ability to locally search extremer. A improved GA combined ES and Gray-code-based GA, which is aimed at the function of Rosenbrock, is designed. A series of data from experiments show that it is a superior nonlinear method and could not only quickly search the global solution but also to locate the optimal extremer for greater probability.
