Variable velocity feedback method is proposed to achieve complete synchronization of spatiotemporal chaos in one-dimensional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation system. The instability of synchronization is investigated by applying a single velocity feedback signal with the presence of a gradient force. By using numerical simulations, better complete synchronization between driving system and response system is found with larger gradient force and feedback intensity. The synchronizing regime of parameters is presented finally.
