On the basis of theory analysis of bolted joint, two methods of simulating bolted joint in finite element assemblies are proposed. To validate the two methods, the dynamic models of a satellite's partial structural components are built. The finite element results are in good agreement with the experimental results, which proves the two methods are correct and valid.
