MPEG VBR video streams cannot be moedeled well because of its complexity. The constitution of multiplexed in-put sources and the various effects of different models with the variation of load and buffor sizes are analyzed. Analytic resultscan help network operators to select righ traffic models consequently. The operators can study the statistics characters of net-work and find the most important ones, so can use the network resources effectively.
