Abstract:In recent years, the rapid flight increase of China has keep brought the pressure on controllers year by year. It is necessary to initiate relevant research around controllers, explore their work characteristics and regularities. In order to enhance ability, specify performance and ease pressure of controllers in their work, and improve control safety. This paper based on the actual trajectory data of the aircraft in the terminal control area, calculated the separation of the aircraft and its proportion, found that separation usage has a certain clue of similarity, then defined similarity and fluctuation coefficient as a criteria, quantitative data is used to reflect the characteristics of controllers’ separation usage in terms of similar flight schedule and composition, weather and other conditions. After comparative analysis of data classification, it is testified that the same group of controllers have higher similarity in separation usage than others when the control environment is basically similar.
