Abstract:InordertounderstandthetypesandcontentsoflithologicclaymineralsinYan'anarea,furtherstudythecharacteristicsofreservoirsandprovidesomebasicparametersforoilfielddevelopment.Inordertosolvetheseproblems,thispapermakessomestudiesonthemainclaymineralsintheoilfieldreservoirsinYan'anareabyusingthenaturalgamma-rayspectrumloggingdata.Throughthedeephomingprocessingofclaymineraldata,andthenonthebasisofpreviousstudies,theimprovedclaymineralrecognitionchartisusedtocalculatethecontentofclaymineralsbythemethodofmultipleregression.ThecorrelationbetweenclaymineralcontentandU,Th,Kcontentisanalyzed,themultiplelinearregressionequationforcalculatingclaymineralcontentisestablished,andthelongitudinalvariationcharacteristicsofclaymineralcontentalongthewellaxisareobtained.Thefeasibilityofthismethodisprovedbytheactualdataofthestudyarea,andthecalculationmethodofclaymineralcontentisprovidedforthestudyarea.Naturalgamma-rayspectrometryloggingcanprovidethecontentofradioactiveelementuranium,thoriumandpotassiuminclayminerals,whichprovidesasimplemethodforpredictingthecontentofclaymineralsinstrata.Thestudyonthetypesandcontentsofclaymineralsisofgreatsignificancetotheexploration,developmentandproductionofoilandgas.
