Abstract:In order to study the effect of types and concentrations of polymeric surfactant on stability kinetics of emulsions, The effect of typeⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ polymeric surfactant on stability kinetics parameter, Zeta potential , interfacial shear viscosity and modulus of elasticity was evaluated in the laboratory. The results show that polymeric surfactant molecules formed a stable interfacial membrane after adsorption at the oil-water interface, and the molecules with charged functional groups formed an electric double-layer, the stability of the emulsion increased. The greater the concentration of the polymeric surfactant was, the stronger the stability of the emulsion was. Due to the changing combined effect of the Zeta potential and interface characteristics using polymeric surfactant, the order of polymeric surfactant by the steady kinetic parameters which were CA60, hc , W1/2 was Ⅲ> Ⅱ> Ⅰ.
