Abstract:Based on color measurement and description characteristics of the rock, the research expounds basic principle of color measurement, related colorimetry content and color standard of petroleum geology rock. To complete photoelectric integral measurement and optical-to-electric signal conversion , this study based on TCS230 color sensor constructs a device of a rock color quantitative measurement system which adopts C standard illumination light source, the main controller system with MCU CY7C68013A master chip and related display unit as the main hardware, with geometry observation condition of diffuse reflectance integrating sphere ,the RGB color space and the Munsell color system are converted through CIE- XYZ coordinate system, then the Munsell color samples is projected onto the RGB color space to obtain mRGB color space with approximate uniformly divided. Finally, a quantitative measurement system according to the color standard of petroleum geology rock can be obtained. Finally, accurate color description with the analysis of rock color from qualitative to semi quantitative can reflect the main mineral types and sedimentary environment, which has important directive significance in the field geological work.
