Abstract:The floor mass center and stiffness center are deviated about irregular frame structure, lead to structure’s torsion under seismic performance. For high intensity area, the torsion effect more apparent in the irregular reinforced concrete structure. In this paper, the practical engineering model use response spectrum analysis and time history analysis under severe earthquake action, and the results show that the RBR-RC (Buckling-restrained braced frame) can improve the structure torsion, the structure of torsion period ratio, inter-story displacement angle and inter-story torsion angle can conform to the requirements of the specification. Under rare earthquake action, adding BRB between pillars of frame have the uniform inter-story torsion angle, the maximum of 1.17, and inter-story torsion deformation is controlled. The BRBs have full hysteretic curve in frame bottom, and dissipative damping effect is obvious.
