Abstract:The plane detection in the parking apron is always a difficult problem in object detection, for the reason that the background of the parking apron is complex and the poses of planes are different. To solve this problem, a plane detection method based on the part model and Distance-weigh is approached. The method utilizes the feature of Histogram of Gradient, and contains multi-component models and part models to settle the problem of plane detection in different poses. Moreover, according to the structure of planes, we use distance-weigh operator to improve the detection process. Experimental results show that the improved method is effective in detecting planes in different angles, and even in the condition that some parts of planes are blocked or there exist multi targets, it works well, too. Finally, the detection rate can be up to 90%.
