Objective: Observe the effect of skullcap alcohol extract and skullcap aqueous extract for staphylococcus aureus out of the body and the protection of the anti-infection effect research in the body. Methods: We use Oxford cup method of susceptibility and the protection method of the anti-infection in the body of the mice. Results: The average diameter of inhibition zone is 17mm, 18mm, 18mm and 18mm under the drug doses 150μl, 200μl, 250μl and 300μl of skullcap alcohol extract in Oxford cup method of susceptibility. And average diameters inhibition zone of the aqueous extract were 8mm, 8mm, 11mm and 13mm. Under the experiment, we injected 0.5ml staphylococcus aureus with 1×10₉ bacteria, the survival rate of mice that were injected skullcap alcohol extract is 10%. While the survival rate of mice that were injected skullcap aqueous extract is 40%. Conclusions: The effect of skullcap alcohol extract for staphylococcus aureus out of the body is good. However, the skullcap aqueous extract has no limitation for staphylococcus aureus out of the body. The effect of skullcap aqueous extract in the protection of the anti-infection effect is better than the effect of skullcap alcohol extract.
