Abstract:In order to improve the channel error correcting capacity of tactical data link and reduce decoding delay, a new concatenating method for RS codes and LDPC codes is proposed, which is presented by interleaving encoding and iterative decoding. A technique of interleaving encoding is adapted to enhance their relativity, at the same time, a combination of hard decision decoding for RS codes and iterative soft decision decoding is employed to guarantee sufficient decoding capability with lower decoding delay. Simulation results show that this method can obtain significant performance with proper decoding delay.
