Abstract:It’s important work to oil and gas exploration and development that evaluating magnitude and orientation of in-situ stress. In oilfield stress measurement, the stress magnitude can be measured by field tests or indoor experiments, but the longitudinal continuous section is unavailable. This question can be solved through ground stress interpretation model with drilling and logging data, in which the key technology is determining the tectonic stress coefficients. Therefore, an analysis method of tectonic stress coefficients was established using data of LOT, drilling fluid density and borehole collapse. According to this method the constraint condition of stress around borehole can be established and the tectonic stress coefficients can be obtained fast and accurately. And then serial section of horizontal principle stress along well depth can be calculated using logging data.
