Abstract:With the increasingly prominent contradiction between rapid development of economy and relative shortage of energy supply, the diesel engine exhaust gas waste heat recovery is being paid more and more attention. The Z12V190 diesel engine, which is widely used in oil, has the high fuel consumption and low thermal efficiency, and releases large exhaust gas waste heat into atmosphere to cause large energy waste problems. The diesel combustion reactions and exhaust gas components have been analyzed, the computational models of diesel exhaust gas emissions rates and exhaust gas waste heat rates have been built respectively according to the mass and energy conservation. A typical example shows some results as follows: firstly, the Z12V190 exhaust gas emissions rates are very large and have sharp increases with the increases of diesel exhaust O2 mass percentage; secondly, the increase of diesel exhaust gas emissions rates leads to the linear increase of waste heat rates; thirdly, the exhaust gas waste heat rates are so large that the waste heat recovery has good prospects for economic development with hot tube boilers, thermoelectric generators, heat energy store exchangers and modern air cooling and heating systems. It will reduce operation cost greatly by this way.
