A freezing coefficient is introduced into the ice growing simulation process to get different ice types by icing parameters change during the simulation process. Using NACA0012 airfoil as an example,the icing shapes was calculated under the different conditions. It finds that the temperature is the main factor causing ice type change , while other icing parameters (airflow velocity,liquid water content,droplet diameter) just affect on the accumulative quantity and have little influence to the ice types.
