Abstract:The timing synchronization algorithm based on the maximum average power is proposed for the timing synchronization of burst communication in this paper. We use the maximum average power and both sides of the secondary maximum average power directly to estimate the timing error, this algorithm not only able to achieve timing synchronization of four times the symbol rate, but also to avoid the traditional maximum likelihood estimates of the need for a large number of law of multiplication, it implements a fast recovery of the timing error. Using MATLAB were carried out Monte Carlo simulation experiment, and simulation results show that the new algorithm has low complexity, but also has a high estimation accuracy.
