Abstract:In this paper, a kind of Multi-channel Pulse Height Analyzer(MCA)is developed by using embedded technology.Embedded microprocessor S3C2440 is designed as the core of hardware with some necessary peripheral circuits. Embedded operating system μC/OS-II software is transplanted into the microprocessor, and on this basis, the corresponding software is also developed. In order to facilitate further analysis and processing of data collected by MCA, communication interface between microprocessor and PC is designed. Experiment shows that, MCA developed by using embedded technology is able to overcome the deficiencies of traditional spectrometer , improve the stability of the system and meet the requirements of the γ-ray spectrometry.
