Abstract:The solar-powered aircraft is suitable for reconnaissance, warning or weapons aerial platform, because it has many advantages like longer Cruise time, higher Flight altitude, less power constrains, etc. In this paper, expound the flight principles of solar-powered aircraft and balance of energy, combined with mission payload model and give out a conceptual parameter design method of special solar-powered aircraft. At last, take surveillance aircraft for example, choice reasonable radar antenna, design the solar-powered aircraft shape parameters, analysis the aerodynamic and electromagnetism performance of that, confirm the feasibility of method. This paper provides the basis for the design of the special solar-powered aircraf.
