The paper discussed the resistivity response characteristics of low resistivity geologic structure in the front of roadway and introduced the working methods,explanation ways and application status of mine electric method pilot detection technology, which at the same time combined with a living example of pilot detection in the tunnelling of a colliery. The result of exploration shows that it has obvious effect in aquifer exploration.
