Abstract:Recovery of elemental sulfur was adopted by ammonium sulfide method from oxygen pressure acid leaching residue of ZnS. Effects of (NH4)2S concentration, leaching time, leaching liquid-solid ratio and leaching temperature on leaching process and effects of distillation temperature and distillation holding time on distillation process were discussed. Comprehensive experimental results verified that the optimum parameters of sulfur recovery: (NH4)2S concentration of 2.5mol/L, leaching time of 10min, leaching liquid-solid ratio of 6:1, leaching temperature of 25℃,distillation temperature of 90℃and distillation holding time of 30min. Experiments show that total sulfur recovery rate燼ttain 95.8% or more. The purity of sulfur obtained under optimum conditions can reach 99.16% or more and the quality of sulfur accords with the GB/T 2449-2006 industrial qualified standard.
