VxWorks is being applied to a wide variety of fields such as industrial control ,aeronautics and astronautics,etc. This paper introduces the function and implementation of VxWorks-based embedded system remote monitoring system, this monitoring system can monitor CPU usage、memory usage and tasks status of VxWorks-based Embedded system. The collection of monitoring information is implemented by Spy tool and exception handling mechanism of VxWorks, the transmission of monitoring information and commands is realized basing on TCP/IP, which satisfies the requirement of real time and reliability.
