Routing protocol is one of the key techniques in Ad hoc network, as well as a significant factor on the performance of the networks. This paper focused on the distribution of nodes in different routing protocols with random waypoint model in loose networks. By simulating several routing protocols, this paper analyzed the node distribution of loose networks with the packet delivery ratios. According to the simulation results, when nodes moved slowly, they distributed unevenly, and the packet delivery ratio results were volatile. As the nodes’ speed increased, they tended to distributed uniformly, and the packet delivery ratio results had small fluctuations.
