Abstract:To investigate the influence of liner on velocity of explosively formed penetrator (EFP),we designed two kinds of classic liner: apex angel liner and sphere liner based on analysis of associated theories , and they have same diameter、height and mass. We took advantage of the explicit finite element program to simulate the process of EFP formation, the calculation fit well to the theory. Then we compared their velocities of x-axis and y-axis and draw the conclusion: the shape of liner affect the final velocity of EFP a little and the difference between them is mainly brought about by the different availability of charge caused by liner shape.
