Abstract:Drawing process of aluminum alloy wire has large plastic deformation, which mathematical model is complicated including geometric nonlinearity, boundary nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and so on. To enhance quality of drawing process, this paper describes a method of simulation and optimation for half entry-angle of drawing module based on rigid-plastic finite element method. It computes the best optimal to minimize the drawing stress with a same ratio of section reducion and Lagrange multiplier. Experimental results demonstrate that drawing made aluminum alloy wires have good performance.
