Abstract:In order to solve the impedance mismatch problem caused by miniaturization of dual frequency transmitting antenna of high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), a matching network suitable for dual frequency transmitting antenna is designed. Based on the topological structure of the designed matching network, this paper deduces the expression of the reflection coefficient related to the parameters of the network elements, and constructs the objective function. Taking the parameters of each element in the network as optimization variables, the parameters of each element in the network are obtained by Dixon optimization algorithm. The simulation and measurement results show that the matching network designed in this paper can realize the impedance matching of dual frequency simultaneously, and can meet the design requirements of bandwidth greater than 60 kHz. Moreover, the number of matching network components is small, which can reduce the loss caused by the matching network. Based on the dual frequency matching network, the designed triple frequency matching network can also achieve good matching effect. And the quality of the radar echo spectrum is good, which shows that this method is feasible and effective in realizing the simultaneous matching of multi frequency transmitting antennas, and can meet the engineering requirements.
