Abstract:Acoustic metasurface, a novel artificial structure designed based on the fundamental physical principles, is obtained to control acoustic wave propagation by reasonable design rules, which provides a new route for sound wave manipulation. In this paper, the phase modulation mechanism of acoustic metasurface is described, and the research progress of the acoustic metasurfaces, including those based on coiling-up space, Helmholtz-resonator-like, membrance-type structures and other types of metasurface. Finally, the development trend and the application prospect of acoustic metasurfaces are also discussed.
