Abstract:The utilization of the glass substrate of the waste liquid crystal screen has been limited, due to the separation issues. Therefore, heat treatment-flotation separation for recovering glass particles with high efficiency was proposed. The obtained glass particles were subsequently subjected to the preparation of glass-ceramics by sintering method. It was found that when the heat treatment temperature was 200℃, the liquid crystal screen released less gaseous volatiles, and the flotation efficiency could be reached 93%. The obtain high-purity glass substrate particles together with waste glass were used as raw materials to prepare glass-ceramics. Under the conditions of the raw material ratio (waste liquid crystal display glass substrate 30%, waste glass 26%), sintering temperature 1140 ℃, time 120 minutes, the as-formed glass-ceramics has the characteristics of high density, high bending strength, and good corrosion resistance.
